Library Services Scotland has a wide range of different specifications of shelving. Each is distinctive in its own way, and each has its own advantages in the modern library environment.
Service Counters
Customer service counters are a unique item within the library, each varying according to available space, storage requirements, staff access and the services on offer. The Disabled Discrimination Act (DDA) is applicable and has been in force since 1999, so all counters systems are required to comply with these guidelines.
We have a range of modular systems through to individually manufactured bespoke counters.
This is a very specialist area and is important to the support for learning as well as the pursuit of enjoyment and discovery. To create a safe, easy and exciting environment distinct from the educational spaces we have individual product groups covering pre-school, primary and teenage libraries.
