Dingwall Community Library, The Highland Council
This School/Public Library is part of the Councils PPP2 2007/8 development program. In partnership with the fitout contractor Library Services Scotland designed this new build facility providing space for the school users as well as the community.
The specification included shelving for the support of the mobile library as well as secure storage for the Heritage Collection. IT provision for the school as well as a separate internet access for the community. Part of the Library needed to made available for events, so 25% of the children's area was designed to permit these activities.
